The Arts meta has been a rollercoaster of a journey over the course of FGO’s lifespan.

It has transitioned from semi-viable, to overly costworthy, to the top of the tier list!

And in this ranking we’ll be taking a look at some of the Servants responsible for enhancing the powerful Arts Servants of FGO, and the impact they’ve left on the game.

5. Nero Bride (Saber)

Nero Bride (Saber) Fate/Grand Order Sprite

Nero Bride is a support that can function in almost any team (similar to other Servants such as Waver or Hans).

However, Nero Bride has found the most success in Arts-focused teams.

Nero’s skills are targeted towards NP looping, granting her allies both an attack buff and an NP gain buff plus battery.

Before a certain Arts looping queen was released, Nero Bride, Tamamo, and possibly Paracelsus were your only option for three-turn farming with an Arts team.

Nero Bride has fallen out of favor in recent years. But for those unlucky with their gacha pulls, she can provide an excellent substitute.

4. Paracelsus (Caster)

Paracelsus (Caster) Fate/Grand Order Sprite

Paracelsus is a budget option to allow your Arts Servants to loop.

While the term “budget” may bring with it a negative connotation, we in no way seek to downplay the abilities of this Caster.

Paracelsus provides a fairly strong Arts buff to the team, while also being able to charge his own NP by a whopping 80% at max rank.

This may seem useless on a support Servant. But Paracelsus’ strong AOE NP is great for taking out the first wave of a fight before allowing your stronger Servants to come in and finish up the mission.

And with him being only a three-star, you can max out his NP relatively easily.

Definitely consider investing in Paracelsus if you plan to build an Arts team.

3. Gilgamesh (Caster)

Gilgamesh (Caster) Fate/Grand Order Sprite

Gilgamesh is a fan favorite character due to his bravado and arrogance.

But his Caster incarnation (as seen in the Babylonia storyline or the animated adaptation) is a lot more mature than his younger self.

Gil has traded in his Archer skills for a supportive Caster kit.

And Caster Gil buffs the entire party’s crit star generation and attack, using his first and second skills respectfully, while his final skill is a party-wide Arts buff!

While he lacks an NP charge, he’s still a strong Servant to consider when building your Arts-focused team.

He’s not built for looping – but he does shine in an Arts crit team.

2. Tamamo-no-Mae (Caster)

Oh, Tamamo.

Where you once stood as the gold standard for what an Arts support should be, a certain poster-girl just had to come along and steal your thunder.

While Tamamo has arguably been power crept out of the FGO meta at this point, she still functions just as well as she always has – either on her own or alongside more powerful Arts supports.

Her buffs really helped her to stay relevant.

And her upgraded Arts buff were just the ticket to keep her out of your Second Archive.

With Tamamo by your side, it’s also possible to use support servants to make up for the lack of an NP battery.

She’s still a great servant, and only falls short to one other Arts Caster.

1. Artoria Pendragon (Caster)

Artoria Pendragon (Caster) Fate/Grand Order Sprite

Caster Artoria is the single Servant responsible for revitalizing the Arts meta of FGO.

She singlehandedly created a world in which even the very most basic of Arts servants can be considered viable.

Castoria’s claim to fame is her incredible skills that allow almost any Arts Servant to three-turn farm, oftentimes without the need of a high-starting NP charge CE such as Kaleidoscope.

With a 50% battery across her skills as well as a huge Arts buff similar in power to Merlin’s Buster buff, Castoria is the reason you will struggle to find a Skadi or Waver on your support list.

Due to FGO being 99% farming, looping one’s NP becomes a necessity when you’re trying to farm lengthy events.

But Castoria makes almost any wave trivial. And when she’s partnered with Musashi Berserker or Space Ishtar, you can feel free to switch your brain off for some mindless farming!
