Music is a big part of Stardew Valley.

For a game created by one guy, the soundtrack has an impressive number – there’s over 45 individual songs!

That said, maybe you’ve been at this game for a long time and you’re tired of the same soundtrack over and over again.

I feel you, the Winter music gets to me after a while, too.

Thank goodness for the internet! Here’s a handful of mods to change up the music in your game.

10. Custom Music

What better music to hear during the game than the music you yourself want to play?

This mod makes it simple with easy-to-follow instructions to add your own custom music into the game via MP3 files.

You can customize whether or not your song loops, when it plays, whether it’s ambient, etc.

It’s really easy to personalize, so go have fun with it!

(And PLEASE put My Chemical Romance on whenever you go see Sebastian, I beg of you!)

9. Piano Valley for Custom Music

Some people would rather hear instrumental music when playing chill games like this, and I totally get it.

So here’s a mod that replaces the vanilla music with a nice piano track.

It’s really cool, because they’re still original Stardew Valley songs, but in piano cover form!

A lot of talent went into making this music (and the mod), since the creator luxiferxx got pianists from YouTube involved.

It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re into piano versions of video game music.

8. Stardew Symphony- Add More Music to Stardew

Sometimes I want a break from the default soundtrack, but that doesn’t always mean I want to get rid of it entirely.

This mod adds more music to the game, all without removing the original score.

So you can get everything shuffled together.

It’s meant for custom music, and includes a link to a tutorial to show you how easy it is to do (check the mod description for more details).

7. Harvest Moon Medley

I’m coming to learn that the venn diagram of people who play Stardew Valley and the people who play Harvest Moon is nearly a perfect circle.

And there’s a surprising number of Harvest Moon-styled mods for Stardew.

This is one of them.

It adds music from the Harvest Moon series to Stardew. The music loops too, so if you’re tired of the music ending completely when you stay in an area too long, you’re all set!

I would really recommend this even to people who don’t play Harvest Moon.

The music is really similar to the vanilla Stardew OST, so it’s basically like a free second album.

6. Ambient Nature Packs for Custom Music

Ok so, you know how there’s a few entries on this list for custom music?

With those, you get to add in your own music to a certain season or area, which is great.

Except most people’s custom music is going to be pop, rock, or maybe even country – which is great for some areas!

For others, nature sounds like this would be a great choice.

Can you imagine entering the Secret Woods, only for something like Blackpink’s Ice Cream to start playing? Yes, that would be hilarious, but that might not be the vibe you’re going for.

If it is, though, I won’t stop you!

5. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Music

Ocarina of Time has some really gorgeous music, just like every other Zelda game.

And this mod does a lot of legwork for you:

It replaces not only all of the seasonal music in Stardew, but also some other music too, such as the mine theme.

And it replaces over 200 sound effects!

It’s a really good mod for people who love Nintendo games, for sure. But it’s also great for fans who just want to change up their music a bit.

4. Earthbound Music Mod

Here’s another mod that replaces the Stardew music with OST tracks from another game.

This one’s from Earthbound, which is an old 90’s NES/SNES game from the series Mother.

With this installed it’ll replace some of the ambient music in places like the hot springs, caves, and beach, but it leaves the seasonal music alone.

3. Konosuba Music Mod

This one is a fairly simple swap:

Rather than the opening theme when you boot up the game, you’ll hear the opening of the anime KonoSuba, titled Chiisana Boukensha.

Specifically, it’s an instrumental version – and it fits very well!

While it isn’t a huge mod by any means, it’s a nice little Easter egg to download for anime diehards.

2. Entertainer Replaces Stardrop Saloon

Entertainer Replaces Stardrop Saloon Stardew Valley Mod

The Stardrop Saloon music always reminded me of something that I couldn’t quite put my finger on, until I stumbled across this mod.

It replaces the default saloon music with Scott Joplin’s The Entertainer.

This is a spiffy piano piece that suits the Saloon immaculately, frankly.

Again, this isn’t a huge mod and only replaces one song. But it’s definitely worth a download if only because The Entertainer absolutely slaps.

Keep in mind, too, that if you don’t want to download multiple mods, you can always use the custom music mod I listed previously and add The Entertainer in that way.

1. Persona Music for Stardew Valley

The Persona series has some of the best music, hands down.

I always use the Persona 5 soundtrack for the gym because very few things get me as pumped up and ready to run as Rivers in the Desert or The Whims of Fate.

Well this modder clearly agrees, as this mod replaces some of the music in Stardew with some absolute bangers from Persona 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Even if you aren’t into anime or JRPGs I implore you to check out this music – it’s the jazziest, swingiest, best ambient music from gaming. And you totally need it in your life, trust me.
