Many of us have the same notion of what “the simple life” is. The imagery of vast green landscapes and stretching countryside roads just gives off a relaxing feeling.

Giants Software has spent over 10 years perfecting the Farming Simulator series.

With Farming Simulator 19 we can take a break from busy city life and enjoy planting crops, growing livestock, and living the simple life.

Though Farming Simulator 19 has much to offer in terms of new content, there are still tons of ways to enhance your experience. Whether you’re looking for new ways to improve on your farm or just need a change of scenery, here are some of the best mods you should check out for this entry in the series.

30. Cattle Breeds

Cattle Breeds Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

If you like working with cattle in your farm, the Cattle Breeds mods is a must-have.

It would appear as though cattle was not given much attention in FS19. Though you’re given 8 different types of cattle to choose from, all of them are pretty much the same except for appearance.

The Cattle Breeds mod brings a whole new depth to this particular aspect of the game. There are still 8 options to choose from, but each have different costs, reproduction rates, and milk/slurry production.

This is great way for you to choose what output to focus on. And all-in-all it adds more control over how you choose to play the game. Who doesn’t like more options right?

29. Big US Cowshed

Big Us Cowshed Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

So you’re just starting to go crazy at the animal dealer but just can’t get enough of those cows.

Now that you have more options to choose from, you might find that you need more space for them. Well you’re in luck because this mod allows you to purchase an even larger cow shed.

There are currently 2 options in the game: a cow pasture which holds 50 cows, or a large cow pasture which holds 200. Obviously if you’re a top dog, that isn’t enough.

The Big US Cow Shed holds up to 250 cows, for the same price as the large cow shed in the game.

Problem solved. Now you can go back to getting more cattle!

28. Animals HUD

Animals Hud Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

So you have your cows and have got them organized. Now you’re going to want to make sure you’re getting your money’s worth.

Animals HUD is a great tool that helps you manage all the animals in your farm.

You’ll have all the important information readily available including production %, cleanliness, and food %.

This is the best way to stay on top of your cows, chickens, and pigs to make sure your production is where you want it to be. Easy to install too.

27. Animal Worker

Animal Worker Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

As your farm increases in size, micromanagement becomes increasingly difficult.

Tending to both crops and animals, especially when certain tasks are time-sensitive, can become quite confusing.

Besides, it’s not a realistic expectation that you look after your huge farm on your own right?

Animal Worker solves that by allowing you to hire a helping hand for the specific task of caring for your animals.

For a price per animal that you’re able to decide on in the settings menu, he will provide water, food, and bedding for all your animals every morning.

You won’t even have to worry about the resources needed for animal feed as he will purchase that as well.

More than that, we can look forward to future updates where animal products can be sold by your hired help as well.

26. Horse Helpers

Horse Helpers Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Now that you’ve hired help to feed and care for your animals, you’re going to want Horse Helpers as well.

Unfortunately the Animal Worker mod does not cover horse riding. In order to address that, the Horse Helpers mod allows you to hire additional workers for the specific task of training your horses.

Similar to the Animal Worker mod, Horse Helpers makes sure that all horses on your farm are trained by 11pm each day.

Of course, the service is not free. You have to pay $300 per horse per day. Reasonable, I think.

25. Wool Storage

Wool Storage Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Now that your cattle and horses are set, lets get to those sheep.

Producing wool can get pretty messy. As your sheep drops wool around their pen, you’re not always going to want to sell them right away.

Whether you’re waiting for wool prices to go up or just want to sell them in bulk, Wool Storage is the best solution for that.

A simple placeable building mod that allows you to purchase a shed that stores up to 110 wool pallets.

24. Egg Storage Hut

Egg Storage Hut Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Same case as above, but with chickens.

You’re going to want a place to store those eggs.

The Egg Storage Hut lets you purchase storage in the form of a small airconditioned hut. It may appear small, but this will actually hold up to 16,500 liters worth of eggs. Wowza.

23. Greenhouse Pack

Greenhouse Pack Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

If you prefer to focus on your plants instead of animals, the Greenhouse Pack is a great way to make more money in FS19.

It allows you to purchase and place greenhouses for cabbage and tomatoes.

Now all you have to do is process water and manure, and you produce $90 per input every hour.

22. Root Crop Storage

Root Crop Storage Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Root Crop Storage may seem like a small issue for FS19 players, but this is definitely a handy mod for when you start dealing with beets and potatoes.

Addressing the game’s lack of a storage solution for root crops, the mod allows you to purchase a building specifically to hold your root crops.

Many FS19 players hated that this was not an option in vanilla and that you were forced to dump root crops on random empty spaces on your farm.

This basically fixes that issue, giving your farm a much more organized look.

Not only is it useful, but the building looks great! Taking the appearance of actual storage silos, complete with conveyor belts and all.

21. DashTime

Dashtime Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Now that you’re set with production and storage, you’re probably not going to want to wait around for everything to finish.

This is a quick and easy fix based on the Fast-Forward mod for FS17, DashTime lets you speed up the game to 12000X vs. the default setting of 120x.

Once you’re done with all your tasks for the day, just hit the fast-forward button and literally reap what you’ve sowed.

20. Multi Filling Station

Multi Filling Station Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Another quality of life fix from the vanilla version, the Multi Filling Station adds a placeable building which can be purchased in the game.

It makes purchasing resources much more convenient as they can be placed directly inside your farm.

From the filling stations you can buy mostly anything from grains, animal feeds, fertilizers, and more.

Though to a certain extent it may take away from the realism of the game, if you’re looking for a quick convenient fix then this one’s for you.

19. Additional Field Info

Additional Field Info Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

A great utility mod for crops.

Additional information is added to the field info panel to make planning out your crops.

In addition to the basic information, you’ll now be able to see how many hectares each field is in the current land area, the price per hectare of land that you don’t already own, and potential harvest quantity for each field.

It’s something that will come in handy in all stages of the game, whether you’re laying out potential crop fields or planning your next big expansion.

18. John Deere 9RX Series US & EU

John Deere 9Rx Series Us &Amp; Eu Farming Simulator Mod

With Farming Simulator 19, one of the biggest additions was the inclusion of John Deere equipment.

Appearing for the first time in any Farming Simulator game, modders were quick to jump at the chance to improve on the updated machinery.

The John Deere 7R series was included in the game, but of course players wanted to be able to drive the bigger, better 9RX series.

Thanks for Custom Modding, this is now possible. In both US and EU versions, the level of detail put into these are just incredible.

There are 5 engine configurations, 3 exhaust pipes, and 2 back weight options among other customizable features to choose from.

17. Kenworth T880 Truck Mod

15. Disable Vehicle Camera Collision

Disable Vehicle Camera Collision Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Farming Simulator fans will know that driving can be a pain, especially if you’re driving long trailers or hauling lumber.

This has also appeared in the Giants Software forums as a requested feature, but has not been addressed.

This simply fixes the camera issues when driving, as you will now find it much easier to drive close to buildings or other objects without the view jumping in and out.

You’ll now be able to see your vehicle through buildings and pass the camera through other vehicles making for a much more pleasant driving experience.

This may seem like a minor detail. But this is a must-have quality of life upgrade that will greatly improve your experience.

14. Enhanced Vehicle

Enhanced Vehicle Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Enhanced Vehicle aims to replicate drive controls from previous Farming Simulator games.

If you’re not fond of the changes to vehicle controls in FS19, here’s a simple fix that will further improve your driving experience.

It allows for more in-depth control of your vehicle, you can now choose between four-wheel, rear-wheel, or front-wheel drive.

You can also set forward and reverse gears making it much simpler to navigate.

The additional information is also very helpful as your vehicle HUD now includes damage details, fuel levels, fuel consumption, and more.

13. Less Engine Brakeforce

Less Engine Brakeforce Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

If you haven’t noticed by now, driving mechanics seems to be one of the game’s biggest areas for improvement.

Another quality of life fix to improve your driving experience, Less Engine Brakeforce simply lowers engine brakeforce of all drivable vehicles by 20%.

Many players have complained about the way vehicles stop almost instantly when brakes are applied.

Here’s a quick and easy fix that makes vehicle brakes act more realistic. Instead of immediately stopping the vehicle, it now gradually slows down before stopping.

This may seem like a very small fix. But see for yourself how much better driving feels with this mod installed.

12. Lifting Heavy Things

Lifting Heavy Things Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

As the name suggests, all this does is allow you to lift heavy things.

But this could be a huge time-saver as you can now manually lift heavy items like bales onto trailers by hand.

You won’t have to go through the trouble of getting a forklift, or arranging bales with a spike. Quick and easy. Especially for those low-paying contracts that require you to transfer heavy items.

It can get pretty silly as you can imagine, allowing you to even lift tractors and trucks.

Want to quickly transfer a truck from one field to another? Just lift it and give it a throw, and there you have it.

Do whatever floats your boat, how you use it is completely up to you.

11. Placeable Tree Pack

Placeable Tree Pack Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Another mod that can help get your farm looking exactly the way you want it. The Placeable Tree Pack simply allows you to purchase trees and place them anywhere you’d like.

If you’re looking to decorate your farm and customize its look, check this one out.

Tree types include birch, oak, pine, and spruce, which can be placed around your farm in any configuration you can think of.

If you want to give your cows a beautiful forest view, you could definitely do that. Also note that placed trees can be cut and sold when you don’t want them anymore.

10. Mixer Display

Mixer Display Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

When dealing with mixers it can get a bit tedious to monitor what you’re doing.

In the game you’re not able to see the contents of the mixer unless you’re driving the tractor connected to it.

A simple fix, Mixer Display now adds mix information like fill levels and mix percentages at the bottom of your screen even when you’re not driving the tractor.

9. Place Objects Anywhere

Place Objects Anywhere Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Place Objects Anywhere modifies the boundaries for placing buildings on the map.

It even goes so far as to allow for building to overlap.

At first glance, you’re probably thinking that this is a joke and will probably just break the game.

While no one is stopping you from messing around and stacking pig pens, you’ll actually find that this mod can be pretty useful.

Now imagine if you could place all your silos in a neat row. Storage buildings can be placed close to one another as well for convenience.

Since building mechanics were updated in FS19, where players are now encouraged to build their own farms, this one should be very useful.

Anything is possible now that map limits no longer apply.

8. Coffee Bean Greenhouse

Coffee Bean Greenhouse Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

If you’re looking to expand operations from your typical crops and animal products, these next few entries by modder Edward007 will help with that.

You can now produce coffee beans at your farm by buying a coffee greenhouse for $131,000.

And now that you have a coffee plant, you’ll be able to make coffee by processing water, manure, and fertilizer.

Not only is this a great way to expand your business, but the visuals look great as well.

As soon as you start adding fertilizer to the plant, you’ll see the coffee plants start to grow in rows. Once you add water the misters will turn on to keep your plants hydrated.

7. Sugar Factory

Sugar Factory Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Now that you’re making coffee, people are going to want sugar to go with that.

Good thing you can supply their sugar as well. For $122,700 you can have your very own sugar factory on your farm.

This time you’ll need to process sugar beets and sugarcane to make sugar.

6. Coca Cola Factory

Coca Cola Factory Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

If you’re not so sure about getting into the coffee business, worry not. There are still other options to explore.

If you prefer your caffeine rush in the form of soda you can even have your own Coca-Cola factory.

Priced at $123,700 at the shop, you’ll now be able to own your own Coca-Cola factory. In the form of a red building complete with the Coke logo in the front.

Do note that you’ll still be needing the coffee and sugar factories as producing Coca-Cola requires sugar, caffeine, and water.

5. Whiskey Distillery

Whiskey Distillery Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Now if you STILL want to take it further, you can choose to go a completely different route and get a start in the whiskey business.

Owning a Whiskey Distillery will cost you $122,700 in the game and will take corn, barley, and water to produce.

As with the other mods, the building looks great as well. Made of red brick and comes with a Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey sign on the front.

Now you’ll be making whiskey by the case, ready to sell.

4. Follow Me

Follow Me Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

A very useful mod to help manage crops much more efficiently.

A few uses would be harvesting, cutting grass, and windrowing, but I’m sure you’ve already thought of how you’ll be able to maximize this depending on your needs.

Basically the mod allows for you to have other vehicles follow you around the map.

While activated, you have control over how far behind the other vehicles stay, have them wait while you perform other tasks, and even set offset values so the other vehicles are not directly behind you.

The controls may take some getting used to for sure. But once you’ve got it down you won’t want to play without this mod.

3. GPS

Gps Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

The GPS mod enables an option for you to purchase a GPS system when purchasing any tractor in the shop.

In this case, the GPS system can be used for much more than just finding a destination.

It’s a simple tool that will allow you to create custom tracks.

All you have to do is set a start point, drive to your destination, and set the end point. Once you’ve saved your track it should be much easier to have your tractor repeat certain functions as it will follow the track that was previously set. Simple right?

This mod is a simple solution if you prefer to do things yourself, but with the help of simple automations to move things along more quickly.

2. Courseplay

Courseplay Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Courseplay has become a must-have for most FS19 players.

With a bunch of customizable controls, it essentially buffs the AI to make task automation much easier.

Similar to GPS, Courseplay allows you to set an AB path for any vehicle.

Some players prefer Courseplay though, as depending on the vehicle you’re assigning a track to, you’ll have different preset options for assignable tasks. For example, a harvester can be assigned to grain transport, combi, or fieldwork.

You can create your own courses following whatever pattern you prefer, even taking to account obstructions in terrain.

Understandably a must-have, with its robust set of configurable settings. You can even decide whether you’re paying for the automated services or just pretend they’re friends helping out for free.

You basically have complete control here. Because who else are you going to trust to run the farm?

1. Seasons

Seasons Farming Simulator Mod

Check Out This Mod

Though Farming Simulator is already known as the most realistic in the genre, it apparently hasn’t covered everything yet.

The Seasons mod adds to the realism of the game by introducing Winter, Summer, Spring, and Fall.

What makes this mod great is that the changing seasons affects mostly all aspects of gameplay from weather effects to vehicle maintenance and animal care.

Not only does it change the way you play the game, but the visuals of each season have been re-done beautifully as well.

Now you can experience more of the real challenges of farming through different weather conditions. This one is sure to add a whole new set of factors to the game that should make for an interesting experience. Especially if you combine this with a handful of other mods on this list!
